  • Thomas Christopher Mooney

Any lawyer can dedicate their life to studying the law, attending seminars and becoming an expert in the legal process. However, at the end of the day, a jury is comprised of twelve members of the community with little to no legal experience. An effective trial attorney is someone to whom the jury can relate. Your attorney must be able to present your case in terms that make sense in light of the evidence against you. You can hire an attorney who has published a number of articles that appear in legal publications. Or, you can hire an attorney about whom articles are written after he wins important cases. Thomas C. Mooney is gifted at the art of persuasion. He endears himself to the jury like few others. His recent successes in the Courtroom (See Articles) are a reflection of his dedication to the practice of law. He will stand up for you and represent you like he's arguing for a family member. Thomas C. Mooney was honored with the 2011 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award by the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ). The MAJ Trial lawyer of the year Award is bestowed upon the Maryland trial lawyer who has made the greatest contribution to the public interest by litigating cases of precedential value-either because they changed the law in a way that is beneficial to Marylanders or has, for other reasons, "sent a message" to those who might otherwise trample upon the rights of Maryland citizens. Thomas C. Mooney was recognized in Super Lawyers 2013 for his dedication and excellence in the practice of law. He was also named in Baltimore Magazine's Maryland Top Attorneys in Maryland 2013. Thomas C. Mooney handles only jailable criminal and traffic offenses. His practice is intentionally limited to these areas of concentration so that he can focus all of his energy on those whose life and liberty are at risk.
